Message from Kieran - Exploring Scotland

Corgarff Castle, located in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, has a rich history dating back to the 16th century. Originally built by the Elphinstone family, it was later acquired by the Forbes and played a role in various conflicts, including being burned multiple times by Jacobite supporters. In 1748, the British government bought and rebuilt the castle as a barracks. Today, it is open to the public and managed by Historic Environment Scotland, offering visitors a glimpse into its fascinating past filled with feuds, sieges, and military use.
