What to order:
The burger is the must-order here. It’s made with minced steak (ground in-house), so expect it to be super juicy and served pink inside. Don’t be put off by the colour — the flavour is next level and genuinely one of the best burgers we’ve had. Also check the counter for freshly made hot pintxos, as the selection changes often.
Why it’s here:
Bar Desy is a tiny, local pintxos bar that feels very much “for locals first.” You order at the counter, grab whatever looks good, and usually eat standing or squeeze into a small table if you’re lucky. It’s casual, unfussy, and ideal for a quick, high-quality bite rather than a long sit-down meal.
Tip:
Go early or between main dining times to avoid the evening rush. Ask the bartender what’s fresh, expect fast service, and be flexible with seating. Cards are often accepted, but having some cash helps. Best enjoyed as part of a pintxos crawl with a glass of txakoli or red wine.
