The Todai-ji Nandaimon, also known as the Great South Gate, is a massive temple entrance gate in Japan. It's like the big boss welcoming you to the Todai-ji complex. Built in the 12th century, this National Treasure stands tall with its double hip-and-gable roof and giant statues of Kongō Rikishi guarding the entrance. These muscular guardians were sculpted in just 69 days by legendary artists Unkei and Kaikei!

We were so impressed by how grand the gates were and they look absolutely stunning during dusk too!
