What to expect
Blue Moon Valley is known for its unreal turquoise water fed by glacial runoff from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The color is strongest on clear days, while overcast conditions create softer, more cinematic tones. Expect boardwalks, gentle walking paths, and constant visual variation over a short distance. I recommend to spend around 3hours here to have enough time to see it all without to rush through.

Creator tip:
Go mid-morning for the best light and fewer clouds, and book a private driver to get around the lake and stop wherever you want to capture content.
