Gerðuberg Cliffs is a row of perfectly shaped hexagonal basalt columns that look like they were carved by hand. These unique formations were created thousands of years ago during a volcanic eruption when lava flowed evenly and was rapidly cooled by the sea. Standing between seven and 14 meters tall, you can climb to the top of them for a wide panoramic view of the area.
