This is no ordinary cable car. Achadas da Cruz drops almost vertically from the Paul da Serra plateau to the tiny Fajã da Quebrada Nova on the wild northwest coast. The ride is short but unforgettable – sheer cliffs, Atlantic waves, and that “am I really doing this?” feeling.

Down below, you can wander abandoned farms and wave to the occasional fisherman. It’s raw, authentic Madeira – a time capsule by the sea.
