Woodland trails, sandy beaches and mountain views - this place has 3 of my favourite things all in one place!
Newborough Forest is a nature lover's paradise with its stunning dunes, coastal marshes, and sandy shores. And there's something for everyone here - explore the woodland walking trails & cycle routes, walk along the beach to Ynys Llandywn lighthouse (see seperate listing for more info on this) or just chill on the beach and enjoy the views.
Parking:
There are a few car parks through-out the woodland, the best one for the beach is the end car park. You pay at the barrier (not height restricted) on the way out with card or cash.
£2 for the first 2 hours
40p for every additional 20 minutes
£7 maximum charge per day

Toilets: At the beach Car park
Food and drink: There is an ice cream van and food truck most weekends/school holidays at the beach car park but it can get very busy (we waited 45 minutes for an ice-cream one day!!)
Dogs:
are welcome on sections of the beach/forest at different times of the year:
Ynys Llanddwyn island (1 April to 1 September)
keep dogs on short leads
keep to the marked paths to help protect ground-nesting birds
Blue Flag Beach (1 May to 30 September)
