This is a great spot to visit if you're wanting to learn more about local gold mining history or just driving through Hatcher Pass and wanting to enjoy the views. There are plenty of short hikes in the area, like the Gold Cord Lake Trail, and it's a great place for families to also try gold mining at a cheap price!
