The Bjarnarhöfn Shark Museum is a unique and interesting place to visit in Iceland. It's a family-run museum located in the Snæfellness Peninsula that holds centuries of history from generations of shark fishing and processing. When visiting, you have the opportunity to observe artifacts from this era and watch a video on the process of producing fermented shark (an Icelandic delicacy), as well as to partake in tasting it. You can also explore the drying house where the sharks hang. In addition, their knowledgeable staff will give an informative and engaging talk about the museum and its history. The shark tastes like a strong cheese, and though it is indeed an acquired taste, it is also one you can acquire easily!
