The stunning 3 mile long sandy beach of White Park Bay is located in the small village of Ballintoy, County Antrim. The spectacular sandy beach forms a white arc between two headlands on the North Antrim Coast and it is looked after by the National Trust.

The ruins are the remains of an old ‘hedge school’. This 18th Century ‘school for young gentlemen’ is said to have included on its roll call Lord Castlereagh, for his early education years.

  • Cows and sheep graze the land, offering you a really great opportunity for some beautiful photos amidst nature.

  • Otters and seals are often spotted at White Park Bay too.

  • There are at least 9 different species of orchids to see at White Park Bay.

  • From April to September the dunes and grassland are home to several butterfly species too.

  • One of the most beautiful spots to see the bluebells in late March - April!

  • The beach is unsafe for swimming due to dangerous rip currents.
