Máncora is a laid-back beach town in northwestern Peru, known for its great waves that attract surfers and kite surfers. I've heard during high season it can be quite a party town but when I was there it was very tame. I would not say Mancora is a must visit destination, but if you are coming from Ecuador, it will probably your first stop. I enjoyed my time there since its at the beach but it is nothing extraordinary.
