Café Bronzette is the closest thing to a barefoot beach café that doesn’t try too hard — right on the sand at Plage de l’Hermitage, with cold drinks, casual food, and front-row seats to the lagoon. It’s a spot where you can stop for coffee, rum, or ceviche, and nobody will mind if you’re sandy or sunburnt.
What’s good:
Open-air seating under trees and umbrellas, steps from the water
All-day café menu: salads, burgers, tartares, pancakes, poke bowls
Decent espresso, fresh juice, and a full bar with local rums and cocktails
Open for breakfast, lunch, and sunset drinks — not a dinner place
Live acoustic music some evenings, usually Fridays or Sundays
Service can be slow if it’s packed, but nobody comes here to rush. It’s a good stop if you’ve just come from snorkelling or want a drink before walking back to your rental.
👉 Local tip: If you want a front-row beach table, come before 11:30 or around 17:00. Avoid Sundays at peak lunch unless you like a crowd.
