Fowlers Bay is a small coastal township south of the Eyre Highway, known for its long jetty, calm bay, and massive surrounding sand dunes. It’s a detour off the main Nullarbor route, but a worthwhile one if you’ve got extra time and want ocean scenery before committing to the long inland stretch.

It’s quiet, low-key, and far less crowded than major coastal towns — often giving you that “have it to yourself” feel outside peak times.

What’s here:
✔ Historic jetty
✔ Calm bay views
✔ Huge sand dunes nearby
✔ Caravan park & basic facilities

Important notes:
✔ Detour off the Eyre Highway (unsealed sections)
✔ Check road conditions before heading in
✔ Limited services compared to larger towns
✔ Windy conditions possible

This is best positioned as an optional coastal escape before or after the main Ceduna → Norseman crossing. Not essential to the highway drive — but a great addition if you want to break up the flat inland run.

Note: I didn't come here but thought i'd add this as an alternative beach option - the photos aren't mine.
