Located in the base of a promontory next to Praia do Norte Beach, Nazaré, Portugal, the Grotto do Forno de Orca is an enchanting geological story encased in limestone rock. This natural cave was formed over time by the maritime erosive activity of the sea and is easily accessible when the sea is calm. If the tide is high, it will show up as waves beat up against the cliff, creating a dramatic ebb and flow inside the cave. Visitors to the cave can take in its beauty while also partaking in outdoor activities in the surrounding area including surfing, scuba diving, dolphin sighting, boat rides, sport fishing, or visiting the many local beaches, museums, churches, monuments and viewpoints.
