Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park is a stunning gem nestled in the Canadian Rockies, known for its vibrant turquoise waters that reflect the surrounding President Mountain Range.

Visitors can enjoy leisurely hikes along the shoreline and gentle canoe rides on the lake. The lake's color comes from glacial rock flour, creating a mesmerizing display of hues, especially on sunny summer days.

This is my favorite lake in the area for a quick swim, the water tends to be slightly warmer than others that are more actively being fed by glacial meltwater.

There's a cafe located here, but be warned that it can be busy if you're visiting on a summer afternoon. You might have better luck grabbing lunch in nearby Field on your way in or out of the area.
