Located in the breathtaking Fossárdalur valley, this guesthouse offers an authentic Icelandic stay on a traditional farm. You're surrounded by stunning mountains and waterfalls, with endless hiking opportunities right from your doorstep.

The farmhouse itself is full of history, with cosy rooms and shared kitchen facilities, which we found super handy to cook our own dinner and prepare breakfast the next morning. There was also a shared shower facility, which was separate from the bathrooms, but we didn't mind this at all, and only had to queue a little bit for the showers.

If you'd prefer to camp, there's also a fantastic campsite here with some of the best facilities of any campsite we've ever seen in Iceland.
