Standing on the Giant’s Causeway, you can’t help but feel as though you’ve stepped into a place where myth and nature quietly meet. The air is full of salt and sea spray, and beneath your feet lies an ancient puzzle — thousands of hexagonal basalt columns, stacked and fitted so neatly that it almost seems like someone carved them by hand. As you walk across the stones, the sound of the waves echoes off the cliffs, and you start to understand why this place inspired legends. The story goes that the Irish giant Finn McCool built the causeway to reach Scotland and challenge his rival — and it’s easy to believe when you see how the stones march out into the sea, vanishing beneath the waves like a bridge half-finished.
