Hótel Breiddalsvik (Blafell)
Tucked between breathtaking coastal mountains and black sand beaches, Hotel Breiddalsvik is a tranquil oasis of rustic charm amid the rugged beauty of Breiðdalsvík in East Iceland.
In a comfortable atmosphere highlighted by natural wood décor, the hotel features 36 well-appointed guest rooms, as well as a cozy fireplace lounge, library and chess table, wellness sauna, jacuzzi and superb dining room serving authentic local cuisine.
For a taste of adventure that feeds the soul, guests can spend their time nature hiking, wild reindeer trekking, Northern Lights hunting, or strolling along our beach.
The rooms were comfortable with private bathrooms and satellite TV, and some even had a balcony with a great view. The terrace with an open fireplace was a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The restaurant served delicious Icelandic dishes made with local produce, and the packed lunches were a lifesaver on our hiking trips. The library and board games were a nice touch, and the kids loved the playground. Plus, the sauna was a perfect way to unwind after a long day.
