I also include details for the best seasons, trail stats & difficulty, tips & safety, photospots, plus pet-friendly & family ideas.

Unlike generic travel lists, my guide is curated from my direct experience. With regular updates & the kind of local knowledge that helps you plan better and avoid wasting time.

I’ve already been on a couple of trips to the Rockies and visited Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Canmore, and Banff, so I know how overwhelming it can be to plan everything properly. This guide is fantastic, and I’m really looking forward to following some of the hikes in Dev’s recommendations on my next trips. It’s super cool to have a local, knowledgeable guide who clearly knows the area inside out. The instructions are easy to follow and really well laid out, which is exactly what I need. Highly recommended for anyone wanting clear, reliable guidance in the Rockies.

I found this guide while planning a few trips through the Rockies between May and November 2026, and it’s been genuinely useful. I’ve already booked a couple of nights at Storm Mountain Lodge in Banff for early June after seeing it recommended, and it looks like a great base for exploring the area.

What I like most is how easy it is to follow — it breaks things down by time of year, with solid suggestions on where to go and what to do, without overcomplicating it. There’s plenty of helpful detail, but it still feels straightforward and quick to read.

Overall, it’s saved me a lot of time scrolling through different sites and trying to piece together plans myself. Definitely a handy guide if you’re looking to organise a Rockies trip without the usual hassle.
