Hi! My name is Emilie and I'm on my sixth year of living in a van. I'm a Canadian American dual citizen, born in Arizona and grew up between Quebec and Florida. I spend my summers in the Canadian Rockies now (June-Oct) and spend the rest of my time either traveling the world or cozied up in the desert. I've been living "out west" for the past 10 years now and couldn't imagine living anywhere else! I love Montana, Oregon, Arizona, Utah (where I called home for 4 years) so much and could probably yap about them until I'm blue in the face.
Up until mid 2025 I was traveling with my special sidekick, Margaret, who was a chihuahua mix that wasn't afraid of anything (not even grizzlies). I'm well versed in crafting dog-friendly itineraries and making vanlife/RV living work when you're traveling with a four legged friend. I haven't had A/C in my van... ever, so I know how important it can be to chase safe climates for them.
