Vilkkimäki Coffee Museum is about 13 km from Turku city centre. If you love coffee, this is an absolute must-visit! The museum showcases the rich history and culture surrounding coffee, with exhibits that trace the journey from bean to cup, complete with fascinating artifacts and stories.
The museum is small but such an interesting hidden gem to explore. It’s packed with vintage coffee packages, old coffee pots, grinders, and so many quirky little items that’ll make you smile.
In the same building, there’s also Café Namia, where you can enjoy fresh coffee and homemade treats. I personally had the best cinnamon bun here! 😍
You can also find a pretty second hand store right next to it!
HOW TO GET THERE: Located in Lieto, about a 20-minute drive from Turku. The easiest way to reach it is by car, and there’s free parking right outside. (There’s also a bus from the city centre, but it doesn’t run super often.)
WHEN TO VISIT: It’s quietest on weekday mornings, perfect if you want the museum to yourself!
COST: Visiting the museum is 100% free, which makes it even cooler!
