Take a detour to Krossneslaug, a rustic geothermal pool right by the sea. Two stone-lined pools offer a warm soak with amazing views of the fjord and Drangey Island, linked to the saga of Grettir the Strong. The changing facilities are basic but clean, and the gravel road to get there is worth it for a memorable, authentic Icelandic hot spring experience.
