Khiva, a city in Uzbekistan with a population of around 93,000 people, has a history dating back 2,500 years. It was once the capital of Khwarezmia and later became part of the Khanate of Khiva. Known for its well-preserved historic monuments and old houses, Khiva is divided into two parts: Dichan Kala and Itchan Kala. The inner town, surrounded by brick walls, boasts over 50 historic landmarks, including the Djuma Mosque and the Sherghazi Khan madrassah. Today, Khiva is a popular tourist destination, attracting over 200,000 visitors annually.
