Atlas Film Studios is Morocco’s largest film studio located in Ouarzazate and is an interesting destination for tourists. It covers more than 322,000 square feet of dry desert landscape and has served as the shooting location for many popular movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Visitors to this movie set will find decaying props like a massive jet plane, replicas of kasbahs, winding alleys and Egyptian tombs. Touring the grounds, they can also explore the Colosseum where Russell Crowe fought in Gladiator. On their tour and throughout the site, visitors will be able to see the sets from many popular films that have little wear and tear due to the harsh climate of the surrounding area.
