The Karanfili massif is one of the most rugged and impressive parts of the Prokletije mountains. Its sharp, jagged peaks create a dramatic alpine landscape. Even in summer, patches of snow and glacial features can often be seen on the higher slopes, adding to the wild and untouched atmosphere of the area.

The massif offers excellent hiking opportunities with rewarding views over the surrounding mountain terrain. It is known for its steep rocky ridges and remote character, making it a favourite among experienced hikers looking for challenging routes in northern Montenegro.
