Another stop for your west coast sunset drive! This cable car is a ride on its own -- heading down the steep slope you might feel your tummy drop, but the views will definitely take your breath away!! The Achadas da Cruz Cable Car connects Achadas da Cruz to the tranquil Fajã da Quebrada Nova in Madeira. We came at sunset when it was closed (8:00-12:00 and 1:00-6:00pm) but the views were still incredible, even treating us to a rainbow! This cable car not only offers a unique tourist experience but also serves as a vital mode of transportation for local farmers and their harvests.
