Akureyri Backpackers Hostel, our restaurant, and bar is located in the heart of Akureyri, Iceland. We offer comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and a vibrant social atmosphere for travelers from around the world. Our hostel offers a range of rooms to suit every traveler's needs, from six person family room to double rooms. Whether they are traveling solo, with a friend, with a partner, or with family we‘ve accommodations for them.

All our dorms and private rooms at the hostel have shared bathroom facilities. Our bathrooms are located in the center of each floor allowing easy access to all rooms. You might have heard of Iceland’s geothermal energy and how fantastic Icelandic water is – both to drink and to bathe in. This means we‘ve nice, warm showers accessible 24 hours a day. We‘ve also a sauna open every day until 23:00 hrs. and this is free for our guests. So after a busy day’s sightseeing, they can wind down and have a relaxing night in.

Cars can be rented on site. Staff can help arrange activities like horseback riding, rafting and various sightseeing trips.
