You’ll most likely arrive in the Lofoten Islands by taking the ferry from Bodø to Moskenes — but flying is also an option. If you choose to fly, I recommend landing at Leknes Airport, which is centrally located on the islands.
The largest airport in the wider region is Tromsø. You can fly there too, but keep in mind that it’s about an eight-hour drive to the southern tip of the Lofoten Islands. If you’re planning to fly in and out via Tromsø, it makes sense to include the island of Senja in your itinerary — it’s much closer to Tromsø and perfect for wrapping up your trip. Your first stop is the stunning region around the fishing village of Reine.
