Get ready for a truly wild experience at Cape St. Mary's, where the sheer cliffs are alive with the sights and sounds of tens of thousands of seabirds. You'll feel like you're at the edge of the world as you walk the 1.4-kilometer coastal path from the interpretive centre to the famous "Bird Rock." The trail is a relatively easy walk over grassy meadows. It brings you incredibly close to the nesting gannets, murres, and kittiwakes — sometimes just a few meters away. Be ready not just for the sounds and sights, but also for the smell of the birds :)) You can learn more about different species at the Cape St. Mary's Interpretation Centre, which is where you park your car and start the trail.
This is easily one of my favourite places on the entire island, and if I had to pick between seeing puffins and this reserve, I'd still choose Cape St. Mary's!
