Nariaiji Temple, nestled in the mountains north of the Amanohashidate sandbar, is a serene Buddhist temple with stunning views over the bay below. Originally located higher up on Mount Tsuzumigatake, it was moved after a landslide centuries ago. The temple is part of the Kansai Kannon Pilgrimage and houses a beautiful wooden statue of Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy. Visitors can also see the "bell of neutrality" and an impressive five-story pagoda. Accessing the temple requires a short cable car or chairlift ride followed by a shuttle bus journey.
