Iski Vintgar is a beautiful gorge just outside Ljubljana, making it perfect for a day trip! There is a walking path following the river, and the views are stunning during the summer.

You can swim in the river, but be prepared for the cold water. There is a lot of shade, so this can be a lovely spot for a picnic as well!
