Tucked away from the main trails, Igel See is a little gem offering true tranquility amidst stunning mountain panoramas. Reaching it requires a bit of a walk, with the most common route being a roughly 40-minute easy hike from the top of the Ehrwalder Alm cable car. Be prepared for a surprise, as the lake's size changes with the seasons; after the snowmelt in spring it's a proper lake, but by late summer, you might find just a charming puddle, which only adds to its unique, wild character.
