✈️ Things to Know at Cebu Airport (MCIA)

  1. Two Terminals
    Terminal 1 = domestic flights
    Terminal 2 = international flights
They’re connected by a shuttle, so double-check your ticket before you accidentally wander into the wrong one.

  2. SIM Card & ATMs
Right after arrival, you’ll spot kiosks for Globe and Smart SIM cards. They set you up quickly, and yes, you can pay by card. ATMs are also right outside baggage claim (but they sometimes run out of cash, so withdraw early).

  3. Currency Exchange
Exchange counters are available, but the rates aren’t the best. It’s smarter to swap just a little here for taxis and snacks, then do the bulk in the city.

  4. Getting to Cebu City
    – Cheapest: MyBus (air-conditioned, clean, super convenient, ~PHP 50–80).
    – Faster/Direct: Grab (the local Uber). Just book on the app.
    – Old-school: White airport taxis (metered, but usually pricier).

  5. Food & Coffee
Hungry after your flight? The airport has 7-Eleven, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Jollibee, and a few bakeries. Don’t expect full fine dining, but it’s enough to keep you happy until you hit the city.

  6. Pro Tip for Departures
Arrive early! Lines at security and immigration can get long, especially for international flights. Bonus: Terminal 2 is stunning—all wood, airy design, very "resort vibes." Not your usual boring airport.
