What to order:
The affogatos are the standout here. We had the pistachio and the vanilla – we recommend both! Both felt indulgent and well done rather than gimmicky. It’s more of a coffee-dessert moment than a quick caffeine hit.
Why it’s here:
PaiOi feels modern by Hanoi standards and is definitely on the pricier side compared to local street cafés. That said, it’s popular for a reason. The coffee is creative, the space is always buzzing, and it’s a nice change of pace if you want something a bit more polished while still feeling very Hanoi.
Tip:
Expect higher prices than your average local coffee spot and low seating that’s more about atmosphere than comfort. This is a good stop when you want a break from walking, a quality coffee, and somewhere lively to sit and people-watch for a bit.
