We found this street after asking a local where people actually go late at night, and instead of one bar, we were sent to a whole stretch buzzing with life.
Phố Tống Duy Tân comes alive in the evenings, with locals spilling out onto the pavement over beers, hotpots, and plates of food. It feels social and relaxed rather than rowdy, and much more lived-in than tourist-focused nightlife areas.
There’s no set plan here. You can hop between bars, stop for snacks, or sit down for a full late meal. Some nights we came for one drink and ended up staying for hours.
Good to know
Best after 9pm
Lively but not chaotic
Ideal for grazing, drinking, or both
Mostly locals, with a few expats mixed in
If you want to see where Hanoi unwinds at night, this street is a great place to let the evening unfold.
