Opened in 1977, The Cow is Queenstown’s oldest restaurant and has become somewhat of an institution for locals and tourists! They have over 1200 5-star reviews and, it’s clear this place knows how to please the crowd.
If you’ve ever imagined what it would feel like to dine in the Green Dragon Pub from The Lord of the Rings or wanted to eat in a medieval-style den, then you’re in for a treat. Instead of medieval bread and meat, you’ll enjoy freshly made pasta and a legendary pizza menu that’s stayed the same since its opening.
The Cow is open from midday until late for dine-in, delivery, and pick-up. If you decide to dine-in, you can cosy up by the open fire inside the rustic stone building or enjoy your meal in their sheltered courtyard. The entire menu is available for takeaway, and I highly recommend getting a pizza to go and eating it on the lakefront!
