Forggensee is a large 15 km² reservoir located in the Füssen lake district, surrounded by nature and recreational areas. While the lake can look dry and subdued in winter due to partial drainage, summer reveals its full beauty.

From the nearby photo spot, capture stunning views of Forggensee with the Ammergau Alps and the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle in the background. A telephoto lens is especially useful here for creative compositions.
