Just a little outside the old town of Rethymno is the beach.

A beautiful and long promenade by the sea which offers the most incredible sunset view. Along the beach there are plenty of restaurants and cafes, as well as a plethora of accommodation options.

You can literally walk from the old port of Rethymnon to the beach, no cars needed.
