Lake Lungern is a natural lake situated in the canton of Obwalden. It is the second largest lake in Obwalden and its name derived from the nearby town of Lungern. It is surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks and its unique character makes it an amazing destination for anyone wishing to spend time in the Alps. Circular hiking trail: moderately challenging, 9.7km, 168m elevation gain, around 2h17min to complete.
