This one is more for my photography friends, but I'll never get tired of good looking road shots in Iceland and the area around Kleifarvatn is one of my favourite areas close to the capital to capture those. When you drive along the lake you're bound to see a few good frames, both from the ground and if you have a drone.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A scenic road through Krýsuvík and along Lake Kleifarvatn.

  • Best season: Any.

  • Best time of day: Any.

  • Nice to know: Make sure you don't park on the road itself.
