Bonus for fish nerds: the Banggai cardinalfish exists nowhere else on earth in the wild. You'll spot the striking black-and-white fish in shallow water, often hiding between sea urchin spines right off the jetties. No boat needed – one of the world's rarest fish, a few meters from your homestay.
