Nyoirin-ji, also known as the Frog Temple, is a Shingon temple in Ogōri, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 729, this temple is famous for its collection of over 5,000 frog figurines that were started by a former chief priest to attract young visitors. Visitors can also enjoy hanging wind chimes during the summer and catch a glimpse of the hidden Nyoirin Kannon statue every 12 years. With its unique charm and serene atmosphere, Nyoirin-ji is a popular destination for more than 30 thousand visitors annually.
