Tāne Mahuta, also known as the "God of the Forest," is a massive kauri tree located in New Zealand's Waipoua Forest. Estimated to be between 1,250 and 2,500 years old, this ancient giant stands as the largest living kauri tree known today. Before entering the park, you need to clean your shoes. A short boardwalk will take you to the tree. There was also a park ranger giving a short presentation when we visited.
