Langstrand or Longbeach is perfect for the ones who like it a bit more relaxed. It's an unique small settlement as it belongs to the Town of Walvis Bay. It's located almost in the middle of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. There is a small restaurant at the Jetty and a small shop at the service station. The rest is beach, houses and vacation homes of the locals. In December is buzzing here! Festivals at the beach, people riding their bikes and four wheelers in the dunes and a lot of people swimming at the beach. A really nice place to stay! And a not so small secret but the Namibians are very proud of it, Angelina Jolie stayed here at the Burning Shore Hotel during her pregnancy with Shiloh and even gave birth to her here.
