Iceland Blueprint: Map & Custom Planner

We used this guide to plan our entire 12 day trip around Ring Road with our two young boys, and couldn't have planned half of it without this guide! It was incredibly easy to use and follow along with, based on certain things we had saved to our itinerary. We thoroughly enjoyed the hidden gems, and found many of these suggestions to be much less populated than the more well-known, advertised, attractions you see elsewhere. The descriptions were also incredibly accurate, allowing us to plan for what we felt our boys could handle. Thank you so much, Jan!

Just finished our 13 day trip around the island. Jans guide was so helpful and made the trip relatively smooth and simple. It also enabled us to gain many rich and fulfilling experiences we may not have attained through other guides we looked at. Jans videos on YouTube added to this as they were very informative and prepared us extremely well for all the variety of challenges. The major plus point was his signposting to, and tips for negotiating some of the less advertised places of interest. I would definitely recommend this guide as a must for anyone looking to visit Iceland.

I booked a trip to Iceland in September 2025 for June of 2026 with the intent of seeing as much of Iceland as possible in 22 days. With the overnight hotel stops set, I needed to plan all of the sightseeing stops. I watched as many YouTube videos as possible including all of JaninIcelands to select sights. I spent a lot of time trying to set the itinerary using Google maps using screenshots etc. and rapidly got frustrated. Still, I was skeptical about paying for access to Rexby and Jan's database given the cost. What an idiot I was! I finally joined in March. Rexby with Jan's data made planning the trip straight forward and easily editable. Once planned, the Google Maps integration makes it simple to navigate - all for less than the cost of one meal in Iceland! Rexby is quite easy to use and Jan's information is accurate - a few roadside viewpoints seem to have been removed by recent road construction, but nothing important. I did over commit on the number of stops, but was able to update the itinerary each day to reflect what changes needed to be made to stay on track. We drove over 4200KM - 2600 miles in 22 days. While you can't see it all, I came as close as I could! I cannot imagine doing a trip like this without using this tool. I am so glad that I subscribed and to Jan for building the database.

If you are going to visit Iceland and leaving Reykjavik this map is a MUST. Not only did we discover some of the most incredible places that we would have missed without this map, it gives you the Google Map locations so you can create a itinerary for the day with exact location after parking. We were able to see so much with the help of this map and some of the most spectacular parts of Iceland!
