Goðafoss Waterfall, located in North Iceland, is a must-see attraction known for its horseshoe shape and multiple cascades. Legend has it that the waterfall got its name, which means "Waterfall of the Gods," from locals throwing their pagan god statues into it when Christianity became the official religion of Iceland. Visitors can easily access the falls from the Ring Road, with a short walk from the parking lot to the viewing area. The surrounding cliffs and lava fields provide a stunning backdrop for photos, making it a popular spot for both tourists and photographers. Don't forget to check out the nearby Geitafoss waterfall for an extra dose of natural beauty!
