The Pacific Northwest's weather can be as diverse as its landscapes. Here's a closer look at what you can expect throughout the year when planning your outdoor adventures!

Spring (March to May)

Spring kicks off with mild temperatures, occasional rain, and blossoming flora. Expect temperatures ranging from 45°F to 65°F (7°C to 18°C) but keep an eye out for occasional showers. Pack a waterproof jacket, hiking boots, and layers to stay comfortable on your trails.

Summer (June to August)

Summer here is a treat! You'll experience warm, pleasant weather with temperatures averaging around 70°F to 80°F (21°C to 27°C). It's the best time for outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and beach explorations. Don't forget sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water to beat the heat.

Fall (September to November)

As fall arrives, temperatures start to drop, averaging around 45°F to 60°F (7°C to 16°C). The region displays stunning autumn colors as the foliage changes. Rain becomes more frequent, so bring a warm jacket, waterproof gear, and sturdy boots for those muddy trails.

Winter (December to February)

Winter varies across the region. Coastal areas remain mild with temperatures around 40°F to 50°F (4°C to 10°C), while mountainous areas get chilly with snowfall for skiing and snowboarding. Cities experience cool temperatures around 35°F to 45°F (1°C to 7°C), occasionally mixed with rain. Pack layers, a waterproof jacket, gloves, and boots if you plan to hit the slopes or explore urban areas.

Throughout the year, be ready for some rain – it's the Pacific Northwest's signature touch! Always check the forecast before your adventures, dress in layers, and bring along waterproof gear, especially in the shoulder seasons. Now that you're prepped for the weather, get ready to dive into the stunning landscapes and thrilling outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer!
