Reykjavik City Hall is a stunning example of modern Icelandic architecture. The building is situated on the edge of a lake, and its sleek, minimalist design is a sharp contrast to the historic buildings that surround it.

It is also home to an information center, which is great if you need any assistance finding places or getting information about things happening in the city.

There are often art exhibitions being held there, which are a great way to be introduced to artists you are not aware of. Always on display is a giant topographical map of Iceland. The mayor of the city, along with other politicians that serve the municipality, have officers there so you might even run into one of them while you visit. There are several entrances to this building, including taking a bridge over the lake.

This building is a public space meant to be enjoyed by all and it provides great views of the lake Tjörnin.
