Where else in the world can you see Beluga Whales and Puffins up close in the same place?! The Sea Life Trust Sanctuary offers a unique and educational experience that you won't find anywhere else in Iceland.

You’ll learn about the conservation efforts being made to protect the beluga whales and puffins and how you can get involved. This is also the only Puffin Rescue Center in the country that takes in baby puffins (pufflings) that need extra care.

I recommend taking the one-hour boat trip because you will be able to see the Beluga whales in the ocean and puffins from a different vantage point than when most people see them.

The sanctuary is great for people of all ages and is an especially fun activity for families with children. Kids love seeing the beluga whales and puffins and learning about the conservation efforts being made to protect them.

By using interactive exhibits, you can learn about the biology and behavior of the animals and see how they are being rehabilitated and cared for.
