These lovely hot springs are a throwback to how Icelandic natural baths used to be made. The natural stone enclosing the water shows you an example of the traditional way these pools used to be created.

Legend has it that the warm spring water has healing powers. Whether that’s true or not, soaking in these lovely pools and taking in the gorgeous view after a long day of exploring is a great way to relax. Cost 1500 for adults and 500 for kids

Please note that this in the Icelandic highlands and is only accessible during the summer months when the roads to here are open. Typically, the roads are open from June to early September.
